5 Best Digital Products To Sell Online in 2024

In this post, I’ll be sharing five types of digital products that you can start selling online in 2024. Not only will I share these product ideas, but I'll also provide some examples to help you envision your own creations. Additionally, I'll introduce some tools to make the creation process easier. Let's dive into the first idea!

1. Guides and eBooks

Guides and eBooks are some of the best digital products you can create because they’re relatively easy to produce. Essentially, they’re just PDF documents. You can start creating your guide or eBook in Word, Google Docs, or other similar tools. For a more streamlined process, tools like Scribe can be extremely helpful. Scribe allows you to take screenshots and add text for each step of your guide effortlessly. For instance, I created a 91-step guide in just minutes by simply going through the process I wanted to document.

Other useful tools include Guide and Designer. With Designer, you can create eBooks by importing content from Word docs, Google docs, or even your blog posts. Canva is another excellent option with a range of templates that you can fully customize.

2. Templates

Templates are another versatile digital product. They can include design templates, trackers, planners, and prompts. For example, on Etsy, you can find a range of eBook templates, social media templates, and planners. These templates can be created from scratch or outsourced if you don’t have design skills.

Prompts are also popular, with creators like Elise Darma selling various prompt vaults for Instagram stories and captions. Think about what template you can create that would help someone in your niche achieve success faster.

3. Online Courses

Online courses can range from simple text-based courses to comprehensive video courses. For instance, my YouTube Master Course includes almost 100 videos and took many hours to create. However, simpler courses with fewer videos or text-based lessons can be created much faster.

Platforms like Thinkific and Payhip can help you host your course. Payhip offers a free option where you only pay transaction fees on sales. Tools like Corso can assist in creating your course content using AI to transform existing material into structured lessons.

For screen recording, tools like Tella are perfect for creating video-based courses. You can record your screen and webcam simultaneously, then download the videos to use in your course.

4. Systems

Systems like planners, trackers, and project management templates can be highly valuable. For example, I sell my Master YouTube Content Planner, which helps organize an entire YouTube content calendar. Created in Notion, this system can be customized and shared as a template.

Consider what systems you use daily that save you time and energy. It could be a workout tracker, a daily planner, or any other system that streamlines your workflow. Creating a fill-in-the-blanks version of your system can provide great value to others.

5. Private Label Products

Private label products allow you to create digital products and offer rights for the end user to rebrand and repurpose the content. For example, on Etsy, you can find bundles of Canva templates, Shopify themes, t-shirt designs, and more, all with private label rights.

I've been selling private label products since 2006 at UnstoppablePLR.com. These products can be rebranded by the buyer, similar to wholesaling physical products without a brand. Think of it as providing pre-made content that others can customize and resell.

There you have it—five types of digital products you can start creating today. Whether you want to monetize your brand or add an additional income stream, these ideas offer a great starting point. Happy creating!
